The Pediatric Hospitalist Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine St. Louis is a two-year accredited program with time divided between advanced clinical training, individualized curriculum and scholarly pursuits. Fellows will be required to complete a scholarship project in an area of interest such as clinical research, education, patient safety or quality improvement.

To train outstanding pediatric hospitalists that will be the future leaders of hospital medicine.
Program aims
Through the fellowship, graduate fellows are expected to:
- Provide outstanding advanced clinical training in a variety of settings including but not limited to newborn nursery, sedation services, inpatient, and community hospital medicine
- Develop fellows as excellent medical educators
- Support and mentor the development of fellows’ individual scholarship interests
- Provide a flexible curriculum that allows fellows to tailor training experiences to their clinical and academic goals and interests
