The Pediatric Hospitalist Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine St. Louis is a two year accredited program with time divided between advanced clinical training, individualized curriculum and scholarly pursuits. Our fellowship is designed to train outstanding pediatric hospitalists that will be the future leaders of hospital medicine.

Fellows will spend clinical time at a large tertiary care children’s hospital and a community hospital. This fellowship provides a unique opportunity to combine the varied aspects of pediatric hospital medicine. Fellows will be encouraged to complete a research project in an area of interest such as clinical research, education, patient safety or quality improvement.

The Division of Hospitalist Medicine is a diverse group of over 70 hospitalists with a broad range of clinical and scholarly interests. The division has weekly meetings and an ongoing education program which includes journal club, faculty core curriculum, business meetings and morbidity and mortality conferences. Members of the division are leaders serving the school’s mission of excellence in education, research, clinical care and community service. These positions are held within the Washington University School of Medicine, the department of pediatrics, the pediatric residency program, St. Louis Children’s Hospital and the community hospitals.
